What we aim for
We want webseer.ie to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification or voice control. We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard that European rules on accessibility point to.
How we build it
Pages are built with headings, landmarks and labels that assistive technology can read.
Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, and you can see where you are.
Text and buttons have enough contrast in both the light and dark looks.
Pictures that carry meaning have a text description.
Pages are made to work when zoomed in and on small screens.
Moving pictures stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
What we know does not work yet
We have not yet had the site checked by an outside auditor. Some screenshots of the Studio show words as pictures; the text around each one says what it shows. If you find something else, please tell us.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, write to support@webseer.ie or ring 083 085 3375. Say which page and what happened, and we will answer within two working days and offer the information another way while we fix it.
The law
Rotomic is a microenterprise providing services, so the European Accessibility Act, as it applies in Ireland (S.I. No. 636 of 2023), does not bind this site. We follow it anyway. Businesses we build for may be bound by it; we build their sites to meet it. In Ireland, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (www.ccpc.ie) oversees it for online services.
